We cover a fair bit of aerial work at the moment mainly photographic but we’re exciting to introduce some new video filters into our workflow which should make some of our aerial footage even better – allowing better colour reproduction specifically over water. For this you really need to take your time using ND filters where possible and even accurately aligning polarisation filters during pre-flight checks to ensure the correct polarity whilst airbourne. As you can imagine this can take some time to get right with the sun constantly on the move.
